Five Stage Advisory Process

Stage 5: Micro-Investment Decisions

Having developed through the first 4 stages we can attempt to make the next logical investment decision, an example is as follows:

  • Stage 3 resulted in a decision to decrease our Australian equity allocation;
  • Stage 4 resulted in a decision to achieve this by reducing our exposure to the metals and mining sector of the Australian equity market;
  • Stage 5, we should take profits from our holdings in BHP and RIO.

We know many of our competitors start their decision making at stage 5, often leading to a poor outcome for overall wealth. At JAS Wealth, we know the most challenging thing about making investment decisions is ensuring that they remain consistent with your underlying financial strategy.
